BAGHDAD (AFP) – Two American soldiers were killed in an "incident" in northern Iraq on Tuesday, a US army spokesman told AFP, just one week after Washington officially ended its combat operations there.
"There was an incident that resulted in casualties to US forces," Lieutenant Colonel Jeff Allen said, adding that two soldiers were killed.
Allen declined to say where in the north of the country the two were slain, and did not specify how.
