Clashes between Israeli troops, Palestinians near Jerusalem -- radio

GAZA, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- Al-Issawiya town near Jerusalem witnessed in the wee hours of Sunday clashes between Israeli troops and Palestinians due to an Israeli incursion, said a media source.
A local Palestinian radio station said that Israeli troops had been present in the town early Sunday morning in search of Palestinians from the West Bank who were heading to Jerusalem to partake in Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Decree) prayers at Al-Qasa Mosque.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli troops used both live and rubber ammunition as well as teargas to disperse the resisting town's folks, adding that a number of injuries had occurred amongst the Israeli and Palestinian sides.
Meanwhile, Israeli border troops arrested two Palestinians who tried to reach Jerusalem, said Israeli public radio, adding that the two were planning to attack Israeli troops with Molotov cocktails.
