RAMALLAH, Sept 11 (KUNA) -- Israel is easing off the "military blockade" of the occupied Palestinian territories as of the middle of tonight, the Israeli Army radio station said.
The radio said Minister of Defense Ehud Barak decided to lift the siege, which was tightened three days ago on the occasion of the Jewish yearend.
The siege had been tightened with erection of more checkpoints among the towns and villages in the West Bank, paralyzing or hampering free movement of the Palestinians, celebrating Eid Al-Fitr.
