GAZA, (PIC)-- Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman in Gaza, has called for the immediate opening of the Rafah border terminal with Egypt to allow entry of aid convoys. Abu Zuhri said in a statement on Thursday evening that the closure of the Rafah crossing in the current circumstances was unjustified. The Egyptian authorities had turned a deaf ear to all Arab and international efforts aimed at sending relief convoys to the beleaguered Strip, which has been reeling under a ferocious Israeli military onslaught for 18 days that killed more than 700 people and injured around 5000 others. |
