OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation police imposed entry restrictions on Palestinians worshipers who wanted to perform their Friday prayers at the Aqsa Mosque
A spokeswoman for the Israeli police said that only holders of blue ID cards who are above the age of 50 are allowed into the Mosque.
The Israeli police have also prevented women from the West Bank under age 40 and West Bank men under 50 from praying at the Mosque, and barred worshippers from al-Khalil from all ages from entering occupied Jerusalem.
Violent clashes broke out at an early hour Friday when the Israeli police prevented Palestinians under age 50 from performing dawn prayers.
Youth and Islamic activists in the Occupied West Bank called for mass rallies to be staged after Friday prayers in support of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.
