GAZA, July 24, 2014 – (WAFA) – As Israel is pressing with its military aggression against Gaza, Israeli forces arrested five Palestinians, who were injured in bombardment on Khuza‘a to the east of Khan Younes, while the rescue medical team was trying to evacuate them out of the area, according to medical and local sources.
Israeli troops have been inspecting ambulances that are recovering the dead and evacuating the injuries from Khuza‘a. They have been interrogating and hindering the work of the Palestinian Red Crescent and International Red Cross medics and have arrested five injured Palestinians, said sources.
Health Ministry Spokesperson Osama An-Najjar vehemently condemned the Israeli forces’ practices against the Palestinian casualties and medics, noting that they contradict with all international norms and standards.
An-Najjar added in a press statement that the rescue team is facing difficulties in evacuating the large number of the ‘wounded and martyrs’ due the intensity of the Israeli bombardment and obstructions by the Israeli military forces.
