OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Dozens of Israeli settlers led by the extremist rabbi Yehuda Glick stormed on Tuesday al-Aqsa Mosque’s plazas via al-Magareba Gate on the anniversary of the alleged Temple’s destruction.
For their part, Palestinian youths pelted the Israeli forces, who were protecting the intruding settlers, with stones.
The spokeswoman for the Israeli police said this morning that Palestinian masked youths threw stones at Israeli police forces stationed near al-Magareba Gate.
Two Molotov Cocktails were also thrown towards Israeli policemen inside the mosque, she added. No injuries were reported.
In the same context, local sources pointed out that clashes erupted at the holy mosque’s gates after denying women’s access into its squares.
Israeli forces violently dispersed dozens of Palestinian women gathered at Asbat gate in an attempt to enter the mosque. Five women suffered burns as a result of the Israeli policemen’s use of sound bombs.
