Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed in closed sessions the tightening ties between Lebanon and Iran, against the backdrop of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's visit to the country. "Unfortunately, Lebanon is rapidly turning into an arm of the ayatollahs' regime. This is tragic for Lebanon, but Israel will know how to defend itself against such developments," he said. Palestinians hurled stones at Border Guard officers in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan. One of the officers sustained light injuries to his head, and was evacuated to Hadassah Medical Center. A Palestinian man was arrested. (Yair Altman)

A Border Guard force intercepted 2,000 bullets, 25 rifle magazines and four dismantled guns, which were hidden in the walls of the vehicle travelling near the entrance to Tulkarem.
