OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- A group of extremist settlers stormed on Thursday al-Aqsa Mosque from Magariba gate under heavy Israeli police protection. Eyewitnesses told SAFA News Agency that 37 Israeli settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque in two groups and conducted provocative tours. Israeli authorities closed al-Aqsa Mosque gates and prevented women from having access to its plazas and only allowed men over 50 years old in after taking their identity cards. Only 30 Jerusalemite worshipers are currently inside al-Aqsa Mosque while Israeli invading settlers’ numbers are increasing. Israeli media outlets have called along the past few days for mass break-ins into al-Aqsa Mosque to mark the anniversary of the alleged Temple’s destruction. Meanwhile, a number of Jerusalemite institutions called for intensifying Palestinian presence in al-Aqsa Mosque. |
