Israeli forces detain 5 people overnight

RAMALLAH (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained five people overnight Saturday across the West Bank, Palestinian police and the Israeli army said.

Three people were arrested in the Hebron and two in Nablus, Palestinian sources said.

Salam Affana and Saed Affana were detained while picking olives on their land in Nablus while Thaer Ahmad Khalil Abu Hashem, 24, and Iyad Jameel Ahmad al-Alami, 24, were detained in Beit Ummar, police said.

A fifth person, Ahmad Zein Ad-Din Atallah Jawabra, was detained in Al Arrub camp in Hebron after soldiers raided his home.

An Israeli army spokesman said three people were detained in Hebron, one in Nablus and one in Ramallah. All were taken for security questioning.
