Israeli occupation arrests 5 children in Silwan, 5 citizens in WB

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- A large number of occupation policemen stormed the Silwan town, south of the Aqsa mosque, at dawn Monday and rounded up five children.

Jawad Siyam, the director of the Wadi Hilwa data center, said that the policemen arrested Shaddad Al-Awar, 12, Suhaib Al-Awar, 13, Elias Al-Awar, 14, Ahmed Salah, 14, and Islam Al-Awar, 17.

He also said that big holes were detected in Wadi Hilwa soccer stadium, which was bulldozed by the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) two weeks ago.

Siyam warned that the phenomenon could recur and on a larger scale in Silwan, recalling that land caved in a few days ago in two other locations the first near Ein Silwan mosque and the second caused a wall to fall on two houses in the town.

He blamed the IOA’s ceaseless excavations and the resultant flood of rainwater into those diggings for the incidents.
The Israeli occupation forces, meanwhile, rounded up five Palestinians citizens in Arub refugee camp and Beit Ummar village to the north of Al-Khalil at dawn Monday.

Local sources said that the IOF soldiers rounded up four civilians in the village and one in the refugee camp and took them to Etzion detention center.
