UPDATE from John Mallon crew member on board the MV Saoirse Irish Ship to Gaza:

“The Irish Flag is flying proudly this evening on the MV Saoirse and the sky tonight is so clear and beautiful. We are all brilliant on board and enjoying our time together. We are sailing alongside our friends on the Canadian ship the Tahrir and we expect to reach Gaza in the next 24 hours. We are asking everyone in Ireland and further afield to get behind us as we approach the critical point in our travel when we could come under attack from the Israelis. Please stand shoulder to shoulder with us as we near the Gazan shores. Remember, we are guilty of nothing, only our humanity. I send you all my love and ask you to pray not ony for us, but for the people of Palestine. TIOCFAIDH AR LA”
