RAMALLAH (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces raided the village of Nabi Saleh overnight Sunday, witnesses told Ma'an.

Soldiers threatened to raid the village every night unless residents stopped their popular resistance campaign and weekly protests, locals said.

Troops filmed the raid and took photos of residents. They also raided several homes in the village.

Last Friday, eight Palestinians were reported injured in Nabi Saleh during weekly Friday demonstrations against a nearby settlement's encroachment toward lands owned by the village.

Israeli activist Naomi Laet, 22, suffered head injuries after being hit by a rubber bullet fired by Israeli soldiers, the Popular Struggle Coordination Committee said.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said she was not aware of any military activity in Nabi Saleh overnight. Maan News Agency
