Resident Jamal Es’efan Matariyya told the Maan News Agency that several soldiers broke into his home and violently attacked and kicked him and members of his family before one soldier hurled a concussion at Hosni Matariyya.

The concussion grenade exploded near his head; he lost consciousness and fell onto the ground.

Jamal added that relatives were visiting them to celebrate Al-Fitir feast, and that around 30 Israeli soldiers broke into the home and attacked the residents without any provocation.

Later on, an Israeli military officer arrived at the scene and said that a bullet was fired at Al-Rajabi building, occupied by the army, and located a few dozens of meters from the home of Matariyya.

Soldiers also broke into and searched several nearby homes; no arrests were reported.
