Arab League: Latest Quartet’s proposal proves its inability to defend international law

The Arab League believes the statement of the international Quartet on the peace process in the Middle East has proven its inability to defend international law and push forward the peace process without being bias in favor of Israeli policy.

A statement issued by the Palestinians in the Arab League last night stated that the Quartet statement is an attempt to circumvent the Palestinian demand at the UN without mentioning the party that impeded the peace process.

The Arab League added that the Quartet should have emphasized the unilateral actions by Israel and supported the Palestinian request at the UN. The League believed that the statement of the Quartet envoy and Tony Blair had not done what was required to give more credibility and honesty to the Quartet mission.
