GAZA, (PIC)-- 15 Palestinian young men started a hunger strike at the Red Cross offices in Gaza on Saturday in solidarity with Islamic Jihad leader Sheikh Khader Adnan who has been on hunger strike for 49 days.
Abdullah Qandil, a spokesman for the Waed society for prisoners, told Quds Press that the strike was organized in cooperation with Muhjat Al-Quds society for the defense of prisoners.
He quoted those youths as saying that they would continue in their hunger strike until all demands of Adnan are met.
Islamic Jihad prisoners in Aishel prison have also gone on hunger strike for the third day running in solidarity with Adnan.
