AMMAN, (PIC)-- The Jordanian union of physicians said it would send a delegation of specialized doctors to the Gaza Strip to help the wounded and support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people there. In a press release on Wednesday, the union affirmed that it coordinated with the Palestinian health ministry in Gaza to delegate a team of medical specialists including surgeons to help relieve the suffering of patients and war victims. It noted that it started to receive financial and in-kind donations in order to send humanitarian assistance to the Gaza people. Israel's war on the densely-populated enclave claimed the lives of 162 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and rendered 1, 222 others wounded, according to a Palestinian medical report. |
