Clashes have erupted in the northern West Bank after Israeli soldiers disguised themselves as vegetable sellers to seize members of a militant group, Palestinians said.
Residents in the town of Tamoun said youths hurled stones and bottles at Israeli troops, while the soldiers responded with what appeared to be live fire.
Resident Faris Bisharat said eight men were injured, some by live fire.
He said the wanted men belong to Islamic Jihad, a violent group sworn to Israel's destruction.
Mr Bisharat said the clashes began early on Tuesday after Israeli forces dressed as merchants arrested one man. He said regular forces then entered the town, and men began hurling rocks at them to prevent other arrests.
The Israeli military had no immediate comment.
