GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil, a Hamas leader, has affirmed that his movement was keen on reconciliation based on political partnership and national constants as the vanguard in confronting Israeli schemes.
He said in a statement on Sunday that Hamas was considering reconciliation as a strategic option without taking into consideration any negative or positive repercussions of Mahmoud Abbas’s step of seeking of UN recognition of a Palestine state.
Bardawil underlined that his movement’s position in rejecting Abbas’s UN step was meant to dispel the illusions that might spread among the Palestinians about creating a state in the air.
He explained that the Palestinian state was announced more than once in the past then nothing happened and the Israeli enemy returned to massacring the people.
Hamas has hailed Abbas’s description of the Palestinian issue and suffering but criticized his solutions, Bardawil underscored.
