Egyptian Health Minister Pledges Medical Support to Gaza

Cairo , September 17 (QNA) - Egyptian Minister of Health Dr. Amr Helmi said on Saturday that his country is keen on enhancing its cooperation with Gaza strip. Helmi, who was meeting with his Palestinian counterpart Dr. Bassem Naim. said that Egypt support to the Palestinian people will resume. He also pledged to work on finding means of supplying Gaza strip with necessary medical aid. Naim briefed his Egyptian counterpart on Gaza strip''s medical needs and asked for the support of the Egyptian ministry. He particularly asked for Egypt''s help in providing medicine and medical equipment, in addition to treating Palestinian patients, sending medical caravan''s to Gaza to support medical efforts in the strip and facilitating transport and housing procedures for Palestinian medical students in Egypt.
