Police Arrests 54 Palestinian Workers in Israel

NAZARETH, September 20, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli police Tuesday arrested 54 Palestinians from the West Bank who work in Israel, as part of its state of alertness in order to face the upcoming vote for the Palestinian bid in the United nations.

Tel Aviv police raided workshops in Israel and arrested 54 Palestinian workers, bringing them back into the West Bank and obligating them not to return to Israel.

Israeli police has declared a state of alertness to face potential demonstrations accompanying President Mahmoud Abbas’ bid to the UN on September 23.
