MOSCOW, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov said Monday there was no problem in recognizing the Palestinian state.
Russia believes there is no problem in recognizing a Palestinian state, he told a news conference.
However, he added, the Palestinian Authority quest to submit the statehood request to the UN should not replace negotiations with Israel.
Lavrov said Russia recognized the Palestinian state in the last century and there has been a Palestinian Ambassador in Moscow.
