Settlers Set Fire to Olive Fields in Nablus Area Village

Palestine News & Info Agency - WAFA

NABLUS, September 5, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers Monday set fire to olive fields in the West Bank village of Burin, south of Nablus, according to Palestinian official.

Ghassan Douglas, who monitors Israeli settlement activities in the northern West Bank, told WAFA that settlers set fire to olive fields destroying hundreds of fully grown trees.

This incident is the most recent in a series of attacks by extremist Jewish settlers during which they set fire to trees and fields in the West Bank.

Extremist Jewish settlers broke earlier this morning into a mosque in the Nablus area village of Qusra, setting fire to the ground floor in what was clearly described as settlers’ revenge attack against army attempts to evacuate them from the settlement of Migron, near Ramallah, earlier in the day.
