RAMALLAH, October 17, 2011 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas will receive the Palestinian prisoners released by the prisoners’ swap deal between Israel and Hamas on Tuesday in his headquarters in Ramallah, Monday said the Minister of Detainees Affairs, Issa Qaraqe.
The prisoners who will be released to the West Bank were gathered in Ofer prison, where their names will be checked in accordance with the prisoners’ exchange deal, Qaraqe said.
He added that prisoners will be transferred, under International Red Cross supervision, to Beitunia checkpoint near Ramallah, where they will be taken to the presidential headquarters.
