16 Palestinians wounded in confrontations near Ofer prison


RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at Palestinians near Ofer jail on Saturday and wounded 16 including a journalist.

Tens of young men marched to the Ofer jail in solidarity with detained Jihad leader Sheikh Khader Adnan who has been on hunger strike for 56 days.

The young men threw stones at the occupation forces that started with firing rubber bullets and tear gas at them.

Four of the wounded were hit with rubber bullets including a reporter for Palestine satellite TV station while the other 12 were treated for breathing difficulty.
