Israeli Authorities to Build New Settlement in Ramallah‏

Palestine News & Info Agency - WAFA

TEL AVIV, February 13, 2012 (WAFA) – The Israeli authorities Monday decided to build a new settlement near Migron illegal outpost in the West Bank city of Ramallah, according to news published Monday on an Israeli website.

The evacuation of Migron, built illegally on the land of the towns of Qurqa and Deir Dibwan, was ordered by the Israeli High Court to be implemented by March 2012, but instead of evacuating and demolishing it the Israeli authorities decided to build a new authorized settlement for its residents.

It said that representative of the settlers and Israeli Minister Benny Begin agreed on building a new settlement located three kilometers away from the original site of Migron settlement slated for evacuation.

The settlement will be ready in two years, where Migron settlers will be transferred to live there.
