IOF soldiers arrest 12 Palestinians


JENIN, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained 12 Palestinians in Jenin, Al-Khalil, and Salfit over the past 24 hours, local sources said on Thursday.

Raghib Abu Diyak, the head of the prisoner’s association in Jenin, said that IOF troops stormed a number of villages in the province amidst random firing and rounded up five citizens.

He said that the soldiers searched all homes of the detainees before taking them away.

The Hebrew radio claimed that one of them is an Islamic Jihad leader and was suspected of involvement in attacks against Israeli targets. He was released from Israeli jails after seven years imprisonment.

Meanwhile, local sources in Beit Ummar in Al-Khalil said that the soldiers arrested five citizens including two brothers after breaking into their homes.

The IOF soldiers arrested two other young men in Deir Estiya in Salfit province on Wednesday night, local sources said.
