RAFAH, GAZA STRIP, March 10, 2012 (WAFA) – A Palestinian was killed in the latest Israeli airstike on the Gaza Strip on Saturday bringing the total killed in two days of attacks on Gaza to 15, according to medical sources.
They said an Israel drone fired missiles at a smuggling tunnel and a motorcycle killing Mahdi Abu Shawesh, 24, member of al-Nasser Salah Eddin Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, and injuring five others, one reported in critical condition.
Ambulances, which rushed to the area, transported the dead and injured to Abu Yousef al-Najjar hospital in Rafah, said the sources.
An earlier strike at a training base west of Gaza City injured two people and caused heavy destruction to property, said the medical sources.
