Palestinian, 3 Israeli border police hurt in crash

NABLUS (Ma’an) -- A Palestinian was critically injured and three Israeli border police officers were slightly hurt in an accident between two military jeeps and a Palestinian car near Nablus on Tuesday.

Israeli police spokeswoman Luba al-Sumary told Ma'an that the accident took place on the Yitzhar settlement junction south of Nablus.

She added that the first military jeep flipped over when the driver tried to stop from hitting a Palestinian car in front of him. The second jeep hit a Palestinian car after swerving out of the lane.

She said that the Palestinian was critically injured and was taken to Beilinson hospital in Israel.

Israeli police have opened an investigation in the incident, she said. Maan News Agency
