Thousands march in Gaza in support of Aqsa Mosque

JABALIYA, (PIC)-- Thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip participated in the march called for by Hamas Movement on Friday to protest the Israeli decision to consider the Aqsa Mosque's courtyards public places.
The protestors gathered from all mosques of northern Gaza and chanted slogans calling for defending the Aqsa Mosque.
In a speech during the march, Hamas official Mohamed Askar warned that any Israeli folly against the Aqsa Mosque would be confronted by a massive popular uprising and armed resistance.
Abu Askar said the peace negotiations with the Israeli occupation regime encouraged it to persist in its violations against the Palestinians and their holy sites.
He urged the Arab spring countries especially their youths to hasten to defend the Aqsa Mosque and liberate it from Israel's tyranny and injustice.
The participants in the march swore together an oath to defend and protect Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque against Israel's schemes which are aimed at eliminating the Palestinian presence in the holy city.
