Israeli Soldiers Close Down West Bank Village

Palestine News & Info Agency - WAFA

RAMALLAH, October 1, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers Saturday declared the West Bank village of Iraq Burin, near Nablus, a closed military area and erected a number of checkpoints at the village entrances, according to local sources.

They said soldiers prevented residents from entering or leaving the village.

The Israeli measures against Iraq Burin aim to prevent international and local activists from entering the village to participate in a protest held there every Saturday against settlement activities, said the local sources.
