HEBRON, July 24, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers Tuesday arrested two Palestinian minors in the southern West Bank governorate of Hebron, according to a statement by the Palestinian Prisoner’s Club (PPC).
It said a large number of Israeli soldiers arrested Basel Mataryeh, 15, after raiding his house in the city of Hebron under the pretext of throwing rocks at the Israeli settlement Kiryat Arba.
In addition, Israeli soldiers arrested Saqer Sweity, 13, after raiding his family house in Beit Awa, a village south of Hebron.
PPC said the soldiers terrorized Sweity’s family members and held his father under gunpoint before ransacking the house.
The club held the Israeli government responsible for Mataryeh and Sweity’s lives, and called for their immediate release.
Israeli soldiers also arrested a Palestinian in al-Tabaqa area, southwest of Hebron, and battered his brother, who was transferred to hospital for treatment.
