Prisoner Jadallah on hunger strike in protest at arbitrary detention

RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Political prisoner Anas Jadallah started open hunger strike in the PA Juneid jail in protest at his detention without any guilt.
Jadallah was kidnapped among others in Nablus city in the last arrest campaign that took place on Thursday and Friday. All those arrested during this campaign were released except for him.
The Palestinian Authority apparatuses also kidnapped during the last two days two Palestinians affiliated with Hamas Movement in Tubas and Salfit cities and summoned another for interrogation in Al-Khalil city.
In a separate incident, the de facto ministry of interior in Ramallah city on Sunday pledged in writing to stop the arrest of university students from the Islamic bloc in the West Bank.
Spokesman for the protesting students of Al-Khalil university Rami Rajoub said that the families of students and member of the freedoms committee Khalil Assaf handed the striking students a written pledge signed by PA interior minister Sa'eed Abu Ali in which he promised not to arrest or detain them because of their political affiliation and student activities.
