Settlers Wreak Havoc on Outskirts of Nablus, Protesting Palestinian UN Bid

:NABLUS, September 20, 2011 (WAFA) – Hundreds of settlers wreak havocked Tuesday ,on the outskirts of Nablus city, north of the West Bank, carrying out their previous threats ,in which they emphasized that they would shoot anyone that crosses their path.

Settlers’ demonstration was organized to express their rejection of the Palestinian leadership move to gain a Seat for State of Palestine in the UN.

The demonstration started from ‘Itamar’ settlement, southeast of Nablus, towards Huwara's checkpoint. The settlers chanted racist slogans against Palestinians, while the Israeli forces closed the road to secure the demonstration.

Tens of settlers’ cars spread on the road between Huwara’s checkpoint and Awarta, a village southeast of Nablus. None of the cars to be seen carried Palestinian plates.

To be noted, the settlers have committed on Tuesday a number of assaults on Palestinian residents from the village of Asira, south of Nablus, injuring a number of Palestinians.
