Jewish Settlers Break into Al-Aqsa Mosque

Palestine News & Info Agency - WAFA
JERUSALEM, September 12, 2011 (WAFA) – More than thirty Jewish settlers Wednesday broke into al-Aqsa mosque through Bab El-Magharbeh (Dung Gate) bridge, roaming its yard under the protection of Israeli police, according to witnesses.

A number of Al-Aqssa guards said settlers broke into the mosque, protected by Israeli police, and performed Jewish rituals and prayers, provoking the Palestinian worshipers and almost causing confrontations that were prevented from erupting by the Israeli police who threatened to arrest and ban the Palestinians who intervene.

They added settlers were accompanied by foreign tourists who performed deliberate acts of disrespect with no regard to the sanctity of the mosque.
