Arab League to Hold Urgent Meeting Over Gaza

CAIRO, August 20, 2011 (WAFA) – The Arab League said Saturday that it will hold an urgent meeting for its permanent representatives at the request of Palestine to discuss the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip, according to an Arab League official.

Deputy Secretary-general of the Arab League, Ahmad Bin Helli, said the meeting will be held on Sunday and will be chaired by the Omani representative. It will discuss “the dangerous consequences of the Israeli assault on Gaza.”
