HAVANA, August 7, 2011 (WAFA) - Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez, Saturday stressed on Cuba’s full support of the Palestinian state, its historical struggle and its right to self-determination and sovereignty of an independent state.
In a meeting with Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Malki, at the Cuban Foreign Ministry Headquarters, Rodriguez assured his countries support of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 and with East Jerusalem as its capital by voting in the United Nations’ (UN) upcoming General Assembly’s session, according to Cuban ‘Prensa Latina’ news agency.
Al-Malki said his visit to Cuba is part of a campaign carried out by the Palestinian Authority (PA) to promote the recognition of a Palestinian State by the Security Council member countries in September.
Al-Malki expressed his full gratitude towards Cuba’s full support of a Palestinian state and solidarity to the Palestinian cause.WAFA
