GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A 26-year-old man from Khan Younis was killed early Monday during clashes between the Libyan military and opposition groups in the Libyan city of Sabha.
Haytham Zayed Hussein Isleih was living as an immigrant in Benghazi, his relatives told Ma'an.
Sabha, in the southwest, is regarded as a stronghold of Libya's embattled leader, Moammar Gadhafi.
The Palestinian general consul in Alexandria said Tuesday that over 2,000 Palestinians have returned to the Gaza Strip from Libya as a consequence of the unrest there.
The number of Palestinians living in Libya before the uprising was estimated at between 25,000 and 40,000 with most having lived there for decades, according to the Palestinian government in Ramallah.
On June 21 the foreign ministry in Ramallah said a Palestinian family of four had been killed in Libya's capital Tripoli.
