Teenager Prisoner Sexually, Physically Assaulted to Admit Charges Against him

RAMALLAH, August 21, 2011 (WAFA) – A Palestinian teenager prisoner in Etzion prison was sexually and physically assaulted during interrogation, while he was handcuffed and eye folded, to force him to admit the charges against him, said Palestinian Prisoners’ Club (PPC) on Sunday.

The teenager said that the officer interrogating him, after threatening him, brought someone to sexually abuse and beat him. He was abused and beaten against the wall and thrown to the floor, which finally led him to admit the charges.

PPc said that Israeli prison’s administration in Etzion regularly commits crimes against minor Palestinian prisoners during interrogation, such as sexual and physical assaults.

PPC condemned the Israeli extreme and outrageous measures against the Palestinian prisoners, especially against teenagers, which violate all international laws.

It called on Rights groups to intervene and stop Israel’s inhuman policies against the prisoners, such as sexual, physical and psychological assaults.
