Palestine''s Fatah warns of Israeli plot to harm Abbas

GAZA, Oct 24 (KUNA) -- Palestinian Fatah Movement Monday warned against an Israeli plot to harm Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, saying such a plan would undermine the entire region.
Fatah was reacting to the Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman's attack against Abbas. The Palestinian leader "is the only obstacles" against peace "which should be removed," said Lieberman.
Fatah spokesman Ahmad Assaf said in a press statement that Lieberman's position was "state terror" by the occupation government.
Lieberman's remarks were the culmination of a systematic operation tegetting the life of Abbas.
"The dangerous thing about these threats is that they were used by former Israeli officials in the occupation government and carried them out against matyre President Yasser Arafat," he said.
