HEBRON, August 20, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli vigilantes Friday stabbed and seriously wounded a Palestinian worker in the city of Asdod in southern Israel in apparent revenge for the Thursday shooting attack near the Red Sea port city of Eilat, Saturday said a Palestinian police statement.

It said Naseem al-Barbarawy, 26, was stabbed several times by more than 20 Israelis causing him critical injuries.

He managed to escape from the attackers and was taken to hospital inside Israel before he was transferred to a hospital in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, added the statement.

Barbarawy said he will file an official complaint against his attackers.
