The international aid convoy Miles of Smiles 6 arrived in Gaza to a popular welcome ceremony at a late hour on Wednesday night via the Rafah border terminal with Egypt.
Security sources at the terminal said that 41 members of the convoy managed to enter the Strip after coordination with the Egyptian side and that the others would soon follow.
They pointed out that the convoy carries with it tons of badly needed medical necessities including types of medicines that went out of stock in Gaza in addition to ambulance vehicles.
Hamas MP Younis Al-Astal was among the delegates at the reception of the convoy as one of them, a Kuwaiti solidarity activist, hoped in a statement that the siege on Gaza would end once and for all and that the Rafah crossing would open permanently without any hindrances.
