CAIRO, (PIC)-- Political bureau member of Hamas Ezzet Al-Resheq has denied press reports claiming that supreme leader of Hamas Khaled Mishaal would visit Jordan on Thursday.
He told the PIC on Tuesday that the news report was “inaccurate”, explaining that contacts were made to prepare for Mishaal’s visit but no date was so far determined.
The London-based Al-Hayat newspaper said that the Qatari Emir personally contacted King Abdullah of Jordan to improve relations between Amman and Hamas. It quoted unidentified sources as saying that Mishaal would most probably visit Amman on Thursday.
