NABLUS, (PIC) Thousands of Palestinians gathered in Nablus to receive freed captives from Israeli occupation jails and who returned to the Nablus district.
The freed captives were accompanied on their way from Ramallah to Nablus by Islamic MPs, Minister of Education in the National Unity Government, Dr. Naser al-Shaer, a number of Hamas leaders and activists as well as members of their families.
Thousands gathered outside the protest tent, which was setup to support captives on hunger strike in Israeli jails, at the Shuhada' Square waiting for the arrival of the freed captives.
Tahsin al-Shakhshir, who is affiliated with Hamas and who was serving a life sentence of which he served 19, arrived and the crowd started to chant in support of Palestinian resistance and the Qassam Brigades, Popular Resistance Committees, Mishaal and Haneyya as they raised green banners.
The freed captives delivered short speeches through which they sent messages of thanks to all Palestinian resistance factions, particularly those who played a role in getting them released and stressed that the day was a day of celebration for all Palestinians.Thousands greet freed captives in Nablus
