ANKARA, Oct 18 (KUNA) -- A Turkish airplane flew to Egypt Tuesday to bring 10 Palestinians who were released within hundreds others from Israeli jails earlier today.
"We have agreed to receive 10 Palestinian deportees and have sent a plane to bring them from Cairo," foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu told reporters.
Turkey's reception of the 10 Palestinans, which was coordinated with Palestinian Hamas movement, "is a humanitarian issue for us," he said.
Israel agreed to release 1,027 Palestinian prisoners in exchange of Gilad Shalit, but on condition that 40 of them be deported outside the Palestinian territories.
The other 30 Palestinian prisoners will be received by Qatar, Syria and Jordan.
