KUNA : Palestinian reconciliation ''moving slowly'' - Hanniya

GAZA, Jan 20 (KUNA) -- Head of the Palestinian government in the Gaza Strip and head of Hamas Ismail Hanniya said here Friday that the Palestinian national reconciliation was moving slowly, adding that efforts on that level should be speeded up for the good of all Palestinians.
Speaking at mosque in the Gaza during Friday prayers sermon, Hanniya said that it was important for Palestinians to converse on the matter, adding that the Palestinian leadership in the West Bank, led by President Mahmoud Abbas, should halt all sorts of negotiations with the Israelis to ensure the rights of the people of Palestine.
The arresting of Palestinian figures was a matter that should stop Palestinians from creating a dialogue with the Israeli side, noted the official, adding that the apprehension of Speaker of the legislative council Dr. Aziz Duwaik last night was considered a crime against Palestinians.
