Israel plans to confiscate 1235 dunums in occupied Jerusalem

The Israeli planning and construction committee on Wednesday revealed a new plan to confiscate 1235 dunums in al-walajeh village south of Jerusalem for the purpose of establishing national parks.
Palestinian researcher on settlement activities Ahmed Sub-Laban told Petra’s said that the scheme is part of Emek Refaim parks plan, one of the biggest Israeli plans relating to expanding national parks and green places in Jerusalem, with the biggest part located in southern Jerusalem inside the Green Line with a total area of 5600 dunums.
The whole story began when the so- called Jerusalem Development Authority (JDA) ,responsible for building national parks announced its future plans to expand national parks through confiscating 1235 dunums south of Jerusalem .
