Tadamun: Israel jailers force Palestinian prisoners to take DNA tests



NABLUS, (PIC)-- The international Tadamun (solidarity) society for human rights said the Israeli prison authority known as Shabas started lately to carry out a collective DNA test campaign among Palestinian prisoners in its jails and interrogation centers.
Spokesman for Tadamun Ahmed Al-Betawi said that a number of prisoners detained in Petah Tikva and Jalame interrogation center asserted they were treated like criminals and forced to undergo DNA tests and give their fingerprints.
Betawi stressed that the Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails are freedom prisoners and forcing them to undergo these tests and taking their fingerprints without their consent is illegal and an Israeli attempt to portray them as criminals.
