RAMALLAH, July 12, 2011 (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas said on Tuesday “ we hoped that the quartet issued a statement following its meeting, however, it didn’t, which is a bad sign cause it indicates they failed to agree.”
Abbas said in a press conference in Ramallah, “We want them to agree on our basic priority; to resume the negotiations and if they agree on the settlements and borders’ issues, we will go to negotiations, but if they do not, then we will go to the United Nations.”
He added, “We will go to the United Nations, hoping that the United States will not use the 'veto ', we hope to go with the US support.”
