JERUSALEM, July 13, 2011 (WAFA) – The Planning and Construction Committee of the Israeli Municipality of Jerusalem approved Wednesday the building of the Museum of Tolerance on the site of a historic Muslim cemetery in occupied Jerusalem.
The municipality announced that it moved the remains of hundreds of bodies from the cemetery to undisclosed locations during six years of continuous excavation and dredging on the land of the cemetery.
The new plan includes the building of a museum, square, stadium, show rooms and other facilities which will wipe out all features of the cemetery, an important landmark of the Arab identity of the area and city.
